Difference Between Log In and Clock In

  • Last Updated: March 22, 2021
  • Log In is not used for timekeeping purposes, but is required for security purposes.  Exatouch prompts for login when the system is turned on or when it starts up for the day.  If Access Controls are enabled, users are prompted to log in before accessing Settings or other restricted areas.  See:  Restrict Access to System Settings
  • Clock In is used for timekeeping purposes. For example, an employee clocks-in to begin their shift, and clocks-out to end their shift. Employees clock-in for a break and clock-out from a break.
  • See: Log into Exatouch,  How to Clock In,  How to Clock Out,  Clock Out for a Break,  Clock In from a Break
