Groups of Items can be modified in bulk, making price modification and category changes a breeze! Use the “Modify all list items” function to accomplish these tasks.
Steps to bulk modification: First group a list of items together in “Items List.” Then use the “Modify all list items” function to apply changes to the group.
- From Home, tap Items.
- Tap Items List.Â
- Use “Search” or “Advanced item search” to gather a group of items together.Â
- View the list of items, scrolling through the entire list to confirm that all items are intended.
- Tap Modify all list items.Â
- Enter changes that you wish to apply. See a detailed list of options below.Â
- Click OK.Â
- You will be prompted twice to confirm if you wish to modify all list items. Click Yes to confirm.Â
- When prompted, enter your Admin PIN. Entering your PIN will finalize changes.
- Changes appear within each item’s record.

Price changes can be applied in bulk. Exatouch gives you the ability to either increase or decrease the price of a group of items in dollar increments or by percentage.
These are the settings for bulk price changes:
Scenario 1: A retailer offering cash discounts needs to revise their pricing to reflect cash prices. Their cash discount is 3.5%; to prepare their inventory, they want to raise prices across the board by 3.5%. After displaying an inventory list in Items List, they select “Modify all list items” and apply these settings:
Scenario 2: A liquor store purchases a well-priced lot of beer kegs, so they lowering the price of their kegs by $5. After pulling up all KEG category items, they apply a $5 decrease to all kegs as follows:Â
These options may be applied in bulk to a group of items:
- Category and Subcategory
- Price: price can be increase or decrease in dollar increments or percentage increments
- Pack size
- Size, Color, Style
- Revenue center and Revenue class: These fields are defined in Custom Variable Settings. See: Define Custom Variables
- Manufacturer
- Check age: apply age verification requirement
- Stock type
- ItemField 1, 2 and 3: These are user-defined fields, which can be applied in bulk. Customize these fields in Custom Variable Settings. See:
- User Defined Reporting: Drive to report:Â Choose Business Overview Report and/or Snapshot Reports to display data for the selected list items.
- Tax: Taxes can be applied in bulk by choosing one or more tax groups. Tax settings are defined in “Settings”. See: Set General Tax Rates
- Visible on register
- Override Price: By default, a Power User/Admin PIN is required for a price override at the Register. Apply the “Override Price” option to allow all users, regardless of access level, to change a price at the Register.  See: Override Price for an Item
- Display color
- Refundable
- Cash Discount: Enable cash discounting for a group of items by enabling this setting. See:Â Enable Cash Discounts
- Scan Data: Choose to include a group of items in Scan Data reports.
- Price prompt
- Inventory quantities: Adjust Low Level quantity, Reorder quantity, and MoQ (minimum order quantity) for an entire group of items
- Tip! Promos can be applied to a group of items, making ‘bulk promos’ easy to apply! After gathering a group of items in “Items List”, select “Modify all list items”.
