Encourage your customers to pay with cash by offering a tender discount! As a retailer, restaurant, or other business, you can automatically apply a tender type discount by percentage or dollar amount to a customer’s total purchase.
What is a Tender Discount?
Tender discounts allow merchants to apply a discount to the List Price, or posted price, of an order when customers pay with cash. To offer tender discounts, enable the Tender Discount feature in Exatouch. This discount applies to all items and services you sell when a customer pays with an eligible tender type.
- Note: Merchants often prefer it when customers pay with cash. To encourage this, they offer a discount. When you enable Tender Discounts in Exatouch, a discount is applied automatically in the Register app at purchase time. You can also add discount messages to customer receipts – further incentive for customers to save money and keep coming back!
- Note: Only administrative users can change settings in your Exatouch system.
- From Home, navigate to Settings > Account.
- Tap the Tender Discount tab.
- Enter Cash Price in the Display As field.
- In the Cash field, enter (as a percentage) the tender discount value.
- Tap the Admin Fee tab.
- In the Amount section, verify the value is set to 0.0000.
- Tap Save.
- Tip! Merchants can change prices of a group of items or all items at the same time by using the Modify All List Items feature. See Modify Items in Bulk.
