When you expand your offerings to include pickup and delivery orders, defining your pickup and delivery settings is one part of setting up your pickup and delivery workflow. If you add online ordering through DeliverMe, many of these settings apply as well. Additional key parts include: defining your order workflow for prepaid orders, and giving staff access to pickup, delivery, and delivery management in the Register app.
By default, your existing delivery settings are retained when you upgrade your Exatouch Point of Sale system. If you’re new to Exatouch, here’s how to set up your pickup and delivery workflow settings.
- Feature Note: If using DeliverMe online ordering, many of these settings apply to orders placed through your site.
Define Your Order Workflow
As part of defining your pickup and delivery settings, establish your workflow by decide what actions mark an order as complete. Do this by enabling or disabling Complete Order on Ready Status in Register Settings.
- See: Set Pickup and Delivery Settings to change your Complete Order on Ready Status setting.
After staff has prepared an order, select the order in the delivery manager and tap the Ready button. The order moves into the Completed Order queue or Ready Orders queue, depending on the workflow you choose and the payment status of the order.
- Note: If an eligible phone number is provided, an SMS message is sent to the customer. These actions are not changed by your Complete Order on Ready Status setting.

Confirm you have Pickup, Delivery, and Delivery Manager Buttons to the Register App
When we add delivery and pickup order workflows to your Exatouch Point of Sale system, we add the order type buttons needed to your Register app. Anyone taking an order using the Register app can select the appropriate order type at any time during the order taking process.
Order type buttons are usually placed in the upper left corner of the Register app work area for ease of order taking.
- See: Custom Buttons: Special Functions at the Register to learn more about changing the order of these buttons if needed.
We also add the Delivery Manager button to your Register app so your users can manage orders in queue. View and manage orders in queue, reprint receipts, update order status, or manage pickup and delivery options.
Exact placement of the Delivery Manager button can vary depending on your needs. Two popular places for the Delivery Manager button are in the bottom right of the Register app, or in the sub menu.
- See: Custom Buttons: Special Functions at the Register to learn more about adjusting the location of this button to suit your needs.
