While taking a customer’s order at the register using price look-up (PLU) codes, merchants can override the price of an item by tapping directly on its price. If users do not have the correct Security Profile permissions, then they will need to input an admin PIN. Users can only edit one line item at a time, so you will need to repeat the process below for each item requiring a price override.
For more information, see PLU Codes.
Only PLU items with price override enabled can have their price changed. To update this setting, do the following.
- Tap Items, then tap Item Details.
- In the Pricing tab, make sure that the Price / Quantity Prompt is set to Both. The Allow Price Override toggle will automatically be enabled.
- Tap Save.
