Exatouch offers Scan to Pay as an option for customers who prefer to pay using their Apple or Android smartphone. It adds a QR code to the bottom of the customer receipt, providing the ultimate flexibility and convenience in contactless payments. It’s ideal for pickup and to-go orders, or at a dine-in restaurant where patrons can complete a transaction in their own time.

Processing Payments with Scan to Pay
Perform the following to process payment using the Scan to Pay feature:
- Note: Contact Technical Support at 800-966-5520 to enable Scan to Pay.
- Navigate to the Register app.
- Create an order and tap the Print Order tab.
- For merchants enrolled in Scan to Pay, a QR code displays on the customer’s receipt. The customer scans the QR code on their check with their iOS or Android device, and the order displays on their smartphone.
- Optional: Customers can add a tip by performing one of the following:
- Tap a preselected amount.
- Tap the Custom button to enter a specific tip.
- Tap No Tip.
- Customers tap the Pay button on the order screen, and then must select one of the following options:
- Check out with Apple Pay – Select to pay using Apple Pay.
- Credit Card – Select to pay via credit card or debit card.
- Go Back – Return to the previous screen.
- If Check out with Apple Pay is selected, customers follow the prompts on their Apple device to complete payment.
- If Credit Card is selected, customers enter payment information in all required fields and tap Pay.
- Once payment is approved, a confirmation displays on the customer’s phone and a receipt sends to their email address.
