The Quick Pay options in the Register app allow you to quickly and easily process simple payment transactions: Credit, Debit, Cash, and Tab Auth (if used). To split payments, accept gift cards, apply rewards points, or perform other payment actions, tap the Pay button in the Register app to open the Payment work area.
- Enter an order or open a saved customer order.
- Tap Pay. The Pay work area displays.
- Select a payment option and follow prompts to complete the transaction.
- Note: The actual display varies depending on how Exatouch is configured. Highlighted tabs are enabled; faded tabs are disabled.
- Feature Note: Quick Cash Payments are not available if you apply an Admin Fee to Cash payments.
Quick Cash Payments
Take cash payments with fewer taps! The Pay screen displays likely cash payments customers may use. Select an option to speed through and complete the transaction.

- Enter or open a customer order in the Register app.
- Select the Pay option. The Pay work area displays.
- Select a tender type. In this example, Cash.
- Enter the cash amount accepted, and tap Pay.
- The accepted payment is added to the payment grid.
- Select another payment method, coupon, or discount. Follow the prompts for your selected tender type to complete all payments.
- After all payments are accepted, applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print.
Multiple payment and credit options are available for accepting full or partial payments on an order.
Cash:
- Accept the default cash amount, tap a quick pay amount, or enter an exact cash amount.
- Tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay.
- AÂ Change due: message appears if applicable. Tap Close to clear the message.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- The register drawer opens, if applicable.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
Credit:
- Enter the Credit Amount: to apply to the order, and tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay.
- Swipe, slide in, or tap the credit card on your payment device.
- Print payment receipts.
- Capture the customer signature and complete transaction as prompted.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
Manual CC Entry:
- Enter the Credit Amount: to apply to the order, and tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay.
- Tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay.
- Enter the credit card information, including Card Number, Expiration (MMYY), CVV, and other information as prompted. Tap Pay.
- Capture the customer signature and complete transaction as prompted.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
Tab Complete:
These steps assume you have set up a Tab Auth for an order, and are ready to close out the tab.
- With the order open in the Register app, tap to select Tab Complete.
- Enter the tip amount listed on the tip line of the Merchant copy of the receipt.
- Tap OK to accept the Adjusted Total and complete the Tab Auth transaction.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
PIN Debit:
- Enter the Debit Amount: to apply to the order, and tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay.
- Swipe, slide in, or tap the debit card on your payment device.
- Capture customer PIN on your payment device.
- Complete transaction as prompted.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
eGiftSolutions:
- Enter the eGift Amount: to apply to the order, and tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay
- Swipe the eGift card, or tap Manual Entry to enter the eGift card number manually.
- Complete transaction as prompted.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
EBT:
- Enter the Debit Amount: to apply to the order, and tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay.
- Swipe, slide in, or tap the EBT card on your payment device.
- Capture customer PIN on your payment device.
- Complete transaction as prompted.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
Payout:
If available, issue payouts based on management’s policies. See: Process Customer Payouts.
Rewards:
These steps assume the order is assigned to a registered Rewards customer. See: Redeem Loyalty Points.
- Enter a Redeem amount: to apply to the order. The amount you can apply depends on the Reward available: amount. Tap OK.
- The accepted reward amount is added to the payment grid.
- Tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay to mark the reward amount as Paid.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print when payment is complete.
Check:
- Enter the Check Amount: to apply to the order, and tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay.
- Enter the Check reference: and tap OK.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
Discounts:
Any discount you apply, based on management policy, is subtracted from the check amount. See: Apply an Open Discount.
- Enter the Amount:Â to apply to the order, and tap OK.
- Tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay to mark the discount amount (if the check is paid in full) as Paid.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print when payment is complete.
Promos/Coupons:
Any promo or coupon you apply, based on management policy, is subtracted from the check amount. See:Â Apply a Global Discount.
- Tap to select a promo or coupon from available options.
- Tap Apply. The promo or coupon is added to the payment grid.
- Tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay to mark the discount amount (if the check is paid in full) as Paid.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print when payment is complete.
Gift Certificate:
- Enter the Certificate Amount: to apply to the order, and tap Pay, No Receipt or Pay
- Enter the Gift Cert #: and tap OK to accept the certificate number.
- Select and apply other payments to the order, if needed.
- Complete transaction as prompted.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
Quick Cash Payments:
Exatouch calculates quick cash payment amounts based on the check balance and probable combinations of cash offered as payment.
- Tap the Quick Cash Payment amount that matches the cash offered.
- AÂ Change due: message appears if applicable. Tap Close to clear the message.
- The register drawer opens, if applicable.
- Applicable customer, remote, or other receipts print if payment is complete.
- Feature Note: Quick Cash Payments are not available if you apply an Admin Fee to Cash payments.
