eGiftSolutions, Part 1—Activate, Add Value, and Check Balances

Expand your offerings with gift cards! With Exatouch and seamless eGiftSolutions integration, you can quickly and easily establish a branded gift card program and manage the program through your point of sale system. The instructions in this three-article series explain how to activate and redeem gift cards, transfer old card balances, conduct balance inquiries, print activation receipts, and more.

Activate and Add Value to eGiftSolutions Cards

A gift card activates once a value is assigned to it. Merchants can also add new values to previously activated eGiftSolutions cards. By default, the eGift button is located on the Order Details page.

  1. From Register, tap the Order Details tab.
  2. Tap the eGift button. A popup screen displays asking whether to add a customer.

    1. Select No to continue without adding a customer.
    2. Select Yes to add a customer.
      1. A Customer Information page displays.
      2. Complete the customer information fields as needed and click Save.
  3. Enter an amount for the card in the Amount field.
  4. Click OK.

  5. Swipe a card or tap Manual Entry to manually enter the card number located on the back.
  6. The card’s balance displays in the Order Details page.
  7. Tap Pay to complete the gift card purchase.
  8. Transaction and balance receipts print, confirming the purchase and card activation.
Check Balances from the Register

Merchants can check eGiftSolutions card balances from the Register, the Lock Screen, online, or by telephone.

  1. From Home, tap Register.
  2. Tap Pay.
  3. On the Pay screen, tap Check Balance.
  4. Tap the eGift button.
  5. Swipe the card or tap Manual Entry to manually enter the card number.
  6. View the balance on the receipt that displays.

Check Balances from the Lock Screen

  1. Tap the Lock icon at the bottom of most Exatouch screens. The Lock screen displays.
  2. Select Check Gift Card Balance.
  3. Swipe the card.
  4. View the balance on the receipt that displays.

Check Balances Online

Merchants can also check eGiftSolutions balances online at www.cardbalance.info.

  1. Access www.cardbalance.info.
  2. In the empty field, enter the gift card number from the back of the card.
  3. Click the Search arrow to view the balance.
Check Balances by Telephone

Merchants and customers can check eGiftSolutions card balances by calling the Interactive Voice Response phone number at 877-643-8225.
