Retailers who use the auto-batch feature to close transaction batches each day can have it set for a time that fits their needs: after closing, or at a set time each day that meets processor cutoff times. Restaurants have additional available functionality to manage handling of incomplete transactions.
- Caution: These changes can only be made by the Exatouch Support Team.
Work with Technical Support to determine what auto-batch settings meet your needs for closing the batch and reconciling reports.
Capture All At: Select a time for Exatouch to close the batch.
- Example: You have a cutoff time of 3pm local for same-day processing. Define Capture All At: as 2:50pm just ahead of the cutoff time to ensure timely closing.
Allow Batch Close Without Complete – This feature is designed for use in the Restaurant industry, and is not available in non-tip Retail environments.
- When enabled, the batch to closes even if there are incomplete transactions in the batch. No tip adjustments can be made to the transactions. This applies to auto and manual batch settlement.
- Caution: If tip adjustments are not completed using Complete Auth, the batch will close without a tip on transactions where no tip is added.
- When disabled, the batch will not close, and an error is returned until the transactions are completed.
Allow Server To Batch Close All Terminals – This feature is designed for use in the Restaurant industry, and is not available in non-tip Retail environments. Enable Allow Batch Close Without Complete to access this feature.
- When enabled, closing the batch closes the batch on your designated Server unit for all Sidekick and other units in your Exatouch Point of Sale system at this location. This applies to auto and manual batch settlement.
- Each unit will have its own numbered batch.
Capture All At: is accessible in Account > Settings > Merchant Account. Changes to these settings can only be made by the Exatouch Support Team.
