Customers may want to split the payment for their purchase with a combination of cash, credit or check. Tender is split from the register’s Pay screen.

- From Home, tap Register. Make sure the order appears on the register. An order contains items in the customer’s cart.
- Tip! If the order is not listed on the register, select the Get order tab, and select an order to display on the register. See: Find an Open Order.
- Select the Pay tab.
- Press Split By.
- In the Split By box, select the number of tender types the customer will use. For example, select the number 2 if the client will pay with cash and credit. Select the number 3 if the client will pay with cash and two different credit cards.
- Choose a payment type.
- Notice that the amount due is split evenly.
You can continue to process the evenly split transaction, or you can customize the tender types and amounts by modifying the Payment Type column and/or the Amount column.- In the Payment Type column, tap the payment type you’d like to change.
- Select a new tender type.
- Review your changes.
- Repeat as needed to change other tender type entries.
- In the Payment Type column, click on the payment type you’d like to change.
- Select the new tender type.
- Review your changes.
- Repeat as needed to change other tender type entries
- In the Payment Type column, tap the payment type you’d like to change.
- Once the tender is split according to customer preference, tap Pay.
- Follow the system prompts to complete the first transaction.
- Once the first transaction is complete, follow the system prompts to complete the next transaction. You may have to tap Pay again.
- Repeat as needed for each payment transaction.
- From Home, tap Register. Make sure the order appears on the register. An order contains items in the customer’s cart.
