Search for an item at the Register or within in the Items Module. Within the Items Module, Items List can be accessed directly, or Items List can be accessed from within Items Details.
Find an item at the Register by tapping the Find items button. Find items is accessible on Register view and on Details view.Â
- At the Register, tap Find Items.Find items is accessible from the Register tab: Find items from the Details tab:Â
- Use search tools to search the list of items:
- Scroll: use the green arrows to scroll through a long list of items
- Search: tap a column heading to search within that column. By default, the “Item” column is searched. Type into the search field to search the contents of the column. Partial terms can be entered. For example, within the “Item” column, typing “bur” will display both items which are “burgers” and the modifier item “Pittsburgh Style”.
- Category and Subcategory filters: for example, choose Category: Sweet Snacks” and “Subcategory: Chocolate” to view all items within the “Chocolate” subcategory.
- Only modifiers: restaurants can use the “Only modifiers” filter to display only MODS.
- Add new item:Â if the item is not found in your system, add a new item directly from this location by selecting Add new item.
- From Home, tap Items.
- Choose Items List.
- View the Items List. Use search tools to find a specific item. See details below in “Search Tools”.
Within an item’s Items Details, tap List to access a complete list of items within your system. List is accessed from the side menu of any Items Details tab: Details, Promo, Modifiers or Bulk.

- View the Items List.  Use search tools to find a specific item. See details below in “Search Tools”.
Items List displays all items within your Exatouch System.
Use these Search Tools to find a specific item:
- Scroll: use the green arrows to scroll through a long list.
- Search: tap a column heading, and then type into the Search field to search contents of that column. The “Item” column is searched by default. For example, tap on the “Manufacturer” column heading, and then type “Hershey” to display all items which are manufactured by Hershey.
- Advanced Item Search:Â tap Advanced search, and then select filters to narrow your search. Use these advanced search filters:
- Need to Order: filter to display items which have been flagged as Low Quantity items.
- Allow Cash Discount: filter to display all items set up for Cash Discounts.
- Tip! Search tools can be used together! For example, after searching for “Category: Sweet Snacks” and “Subcategory: Chocolate”, type “almond” into the search field to extract all chocolates with the word “almond” in its title.
