Open Discounts are created “on the fly” and applied to an entire order. For example, a manager may apply a $10 complimentary discount because an order was received late.
- Navigate to an open order at the Register.
- Choose the Pay tab.
- Select Discounts.
- View the order Balance.
- In the Amount field, enter a discount amount. For example, if the order is $40.00 and you’d like to apply a $10 courtesy discount, enter $10 in the Amount field.
- Click OK.
- Note the Discount amount and new order Total.
- Note: To remove an open discount before payment, select the Reset button.
