Club Memberships

Club memberships allow customers who join to receive special discounts and promotions. In Exatouch, clubs are created using categories and subcategories, and then sold as items.

Create a Category for Clubs
  1. From Home, navigate to Items > Categories.Items module highlighted with arrow leading to categories submodule
  2. Tap New Category.New category button highlighted on club settings screen
  3. In the Description field, enter Club Fees.Club fees entered in description field
  4. Tap Save.Save button highlighted on club settings screen

Club Settings

  1. From Home, navigate to Customers > Club.Customers module with arrow leading to club submodule
  2. Configure the following required fields in the pop-up that display:
    1. SKU: The SKU number for the club membership
    2. Term: The duration of the club membership
    3. Category: The category of the clubClub settings screen with SKU term and category fields highlighted
  3. Optional: Configure the following additional fields, as desired:
    1. Long Description: A description of the club membership
    2. Check Age: When enabled, requires verification of the customer’s age
    3. Subcategory: The subcategory of the club
    4. Expiration Alerts: Displays an alert when the club membership nears its expiration date
    5. Tax: Assigns a tax group to the clubClub settings screen with description age subcategory expiration alerts upgrade mode and tax settings highlighted
  4. In the Sub club section, select checkboxes of the clubs to activate.Sub club section on club settings screen highlighted with base club mug gold and club 2 selected
    • Tip! Click on any club name to rename it, as desired.Mug platinum entered into club name field
  5. Enter values in the Price and Percent fields.Price and percent fields highlighted on club settings screen
    1. Price: The price customers pay to join the club.
    2. Percent: The percent discount this club membership provides.
  6. Optional: In the Exclusive for section, select a Category and Subcategory where club discounts should be applied.Exclusive for category dropdown menu highlighted on club settings screen
  7. Tap Save.

Add a Club Membership Custom Button

Creating a custom button for clubs is the recommended method for selling memberships. Perform the following to create a club membership custom button:

  1. From Home, navigate to Settings > Register Preferences.
  2. Tap the Custom Buttons tab.Custom buttons tab highlighted on register preferences screen

  4. Select an unassigned button from the custom button grid.Blank custom button highlighted on custom buttons screen

  6. Tap Save.
  7. Navigate to the Register and verify the Club custom button was added.Club custom button highlighted on register

Ringing Up Club Memberships

  1. From the Register, tap the Club button.Club custom button highlighted on register
  2. Select a customer from the Customers List, then tap Go To Order.Club member highlighted with arrow pointing to go to order button
  3. Select the desired club level(s) from the Select a Club pop-up that displays, then tap OK.

  5. Enter a Member number, if prompted, and tap OK.
    • Tip! Enter the last four digits of the customer’s phone number to quickly locate the customer.Member number field
  6. On the Register, the Club Membership purchased displays in the order window.Mug gold item displays in register order window
  7. Tap Pay, and then complete the transaction.
Add Club Membership by Individual

Club memberships can also be created from the Club Members page. This method is typically reserved for when merchants want to provide a complimentary membership to a specific individual.

  1. From Home, navigate to Customers > Club Members.Customers module with arrow leading to club members submodule

  3. Enter the customer’s number or name.
  4. Select the desired club level, then tap OK.

  6. Tap Close.
  7. Verify that the club membership was added successfully.Club member highlighted on add new member screen
  8. Tap Save.

Apply Club Discounts to an Order

  1. Create an Order, then tap Order Details.Order highlighted with arrow leading to order details button on register

  3. Select a club member from the list, then tap Go To Order.Club member highlighted with arrow pointing to go to order button
  4. Verify the club member’s discount is applied in the Order # section.Discount amount of $13.79 highlighted on order details screen
  5. Tap Pay and complete the transaction.
Special Club Promotions

Merchants can create special discounts for club members (i.e. BOGO discounts) by configuring additional settings anywhere promos are created (i.e., items, categories, and mix & match promos). Exclude Items From Club Member Promos and Discounts

  1. From Home, navigate to Items > Item List.Items module with arrow pointing to item list submodule

  5. Tap Save.
