Item Details: Inventory Tab – Simplified Stock Types

  • Last Updated: March 24, 2021
  • Compatible Version: 8.298

We’ve streamlined your inventory management by implementing two stock types: Inventory Item and Non-Inventory item.

  • Any items that were a Not an inventory item (such as prepared foods or other menu items) are now listed as a Non-Inventory item. These items can’t have a negative quantity.
  • All items that were a Regular inventory item or an Allow negative qty (such as bottled drinks or other retail items) item are now simply an Inventory Item. These items can have a negative quantity.

If you need to change an item from Non-Inventory item to Inventory Item:

  • Navigate to the item’s Inventory tab and tap Inventory Item under Stock Type. Save your changes.

If you need to change an item from Inventory Item to Non-Inventory item:

  • Navigate to the item’s Inventory Adjustment tab.
  • Adjust the quantity of the item to zero (0) if it is not zero. Save your changes.
  • Navigate to the item’s Inventory tab and tap Inventory Item under Stock Type. Save your changes.
